Special Assembly on Violation of Indus Waters Treaty – A Stand for National Unity and Water Rights

On April 28, 2025, a special assembly was held at the Government Degree College and Post Graduate Center in response to India's unilateral suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty. The students of the college participated enthusiastically and expressed their commitment to national unity and the protection of water rights. During the special assembly, Professor Mujeeb-ur-Rehman addressed the students and informed them about water rights and national solidarity. At the end of the assembly, students chanted slogans against India’s water aggression. This activity was organized in light of the directives from the Government of Sindh and the Director General of Colleges Sindh, as per the Office Order No. DGCS/DI/193/2025 issued on April 25, 2025, which instructed colleges to hold peaceful protest activities to raise awareness among students, teachers, and the public regarding the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty.
